This thread for article submission has been started based on the comments by clyde66 and mad4. About article submission, if I submit my article to article directories, do you think I'll get *quality* traffic to my site. Usually people visiting free article directories are the ones who are looking for free content to add to their websites/ blogs, instead of buying something.. What do you say?
That is a good assumption so far. Webguy A writes an article and puts it in an article directory. Webguy B publishes that article on his site or in his blog. Ok, now follow up with the next logical thought: PotentialBuyer A reads Wbeguy B's blog and ________ ?
This is a good one Tim_Myth. This might be another wrong assumption.. but what if Webguy B's blog or site is not getting so much traffic?
Then you at least get one more free link. Or, perhaps Webguy C sees your reprinted article on Webguy B's blog and decides to reprint it in his blog. Or, perhaps your article is really great and even though Webguy B is a putz, PotentialBuyer N calls her sister, who tells her husband, who talks about it around the water cooler causing the boss to google what he just heard. Its intangible. You do your best and hope it sticks. If your work is good, it will get read, and it will get distributed. However, if you are looking for maximum exposure, don't just submit your article to article directories; submit it to sites where you think it would be a good fit.
Thankyou Tim. I understand your point now Also, just had a look at this thread. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=64622 Helped in clearing some of the confusions
