Validation, weight and holidays!

I have over 30 sites in the coop and in any given week can expect at least 1 to either stop validating (most usually because G decides that a page deleted 6 months ago suddenly exists!!) or to have its weight reduced to zero.

The reduction in weight I can deal with as inevitably it will be restored within a few days.

The validation problem is more tricky as I know this can result in an IP address ban.

So, while on holiday, how often do I need to find an internet cafe and check the status of my sites?

Your site IP will not be banned simply because it stop validating. It would only be blocked if your server stop caching ads and starts making an excessive number of requests for ads.

Also, the system always emails you if it was dropped out because of validation.

    Hi Shawn

Thanks a lot. My sites are caching ads properly so I can relax and enjoy.

You're up early today (or late I guess!).

    Thankfully not Bristol!

Sun, diving, reading, relaxing, no internet, no thoughts of Google, plenty of sangria - in the Canaries.
