Validation problem

My site includes vB, phpLD, and phpLD Photo. They have been made to work together. Now I have a problem with the email confirmation: It seems that when a new user signs up and confirms the email they are still in the "Unconfirmed User" group and do not show up in the members list. I either have to turn off email confirmation or manually change them to Registered User.
Could it possibly be the Limited Guest Viewing mod?

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Thank you.

Have you made a test account to see if there are any errors along the way? If they are getting permission errors on the confirm link, then that would certainly be a problem.

Turn off the mod and test again... if it works, then that certainly was the problem :D

I have made 2 test accounts, neither got a welcome email or was moved to "registered user" after validation. I hope it's not the mod, since I'd really like to keep it active, but I'll check it out.

You got the validation email though?

When you clicked the link in the email did it take you to the correct validation page?

Yes, that part works fine. I haven't gotten any complaints from other members either. It's simply that they don't move from one group to the other. Plus, they don't get the Welcome email.

Well, they are not getting the welcome email because they are not getting transfered from one group to the next.

Disable the mod, and see if that works. If it does, then you know it's that mod. If it does not, then, erm, dunno what to tell ya.

Did you do any template changes, as you may have accidently killed off an <IF> statement or something.

I guess it's possible that an <if> went missing somewhere... I don't really remember all the changes I have made. I'll give it a try. Thank you.
