Validation error on non-existent html pages

    When trying to validate my site, I receive errors similar to:

    Ads not found on http://www.anewwayhome.com/faq.html

    This occurs on ten or so pages that were once, but are no longer in existence.

    Any ideas on how to rectify this?

    Get them out of the Google index.

    I added all the no longer in existence html files currently cached on google and added them to a robots.txt. I submitted the removal request to google. Google queued them up for removal in the next 24 hours. Will this do the trick?
