Validating HTML for google

    Yes it does. The SE crawles use a 'valid html' parser so if u have valid html then the parsing gets easier and thus fast crawling and indexing.

    662 is ranked high for my main keyword "bodyboarding"

    well 5 on Google and 1 on Yahoo

    DO you think my invalid html could be holding me back on Google?'

    there are plenty backlinks of high, medium, low quality

    Making code W3C compliant does not seem to make a bit of difference. My WUSIWYG generates horrid code, with CSS I can generate fairly clean code. The errors creep in when I make changes in the pages.

    it pretyt much just says im misisng a lot of alt tags on my shopping buttons?

    I don't personally think it will matter. The e-commerce site I had up did not have alt tags and did well. I would love to have 100% W3C compliant code but I do not think it worth my time to make it so.
