Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14. In North America and Europe, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery. The holiday is named after two early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. Happy Valentines Day! :)

It's a pure 100% unadulterated commercial holiday, just like Christmas. The only difference here is Valentines day actually has Christian roots, unlike Christmas.

As already mentioned, it's a consumerist holiday, just like (almost?) all of the other holidays in America.

It may have Christian roots but I think it's another sweet day of humanity now.

Everyday is valentines day. When we show our love to others not just only in terms of love ones but in general to all the people surround us. absolutely, velentines day is not a religous holiday instead it has a historical roots.
