My family and I will be taking a much needed vacation this summer, and I need your suggestions! Normally, we go to Rhode Island - as I already have property there. However, this year my wife is begging to go somewhere more tropical. Here is what we're looking for: Less than 12 hours by plane from the US Crystal Clear water that you can see through Option to rent a house on the beach Here are what we are researching right now: Tahiti Bora Bora Saint Croix Belize Anyone that has been to any of the above, or has another suggestion - PLEASE offer them up! Thanks!
Not so tropical but many famous USA citizen's come and enjoy every summer. Believe infamous also, but I'm not so sure obviously http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g294453-Croatia-Vacations.html
A mate went to Bora Bora for his honeymoon and it looked amazing. I've never been on one, but I reckon you'd get over a cruise pretty quickly.
My wife informed me today that Tahiti and Bora Bora are essentially the same place. We're definitely leaning towards there, but I really don't feel like 24 hours of flying round trip. I would be just as happy going to Key West or somewhere closer. More time on the beach, less in the air.
I would advise against going to FL during the summer. It's hot and humid. Humid being the worst part. I live in central FL and summer is the time when I do not like getting out (even to the ocean). Go to where the humidity isn't that high that time of the year, like Hawaii. On average the humidity is 10%-15% lower there compared to us.
Thanks for the tip. We have thought about Hawaii as well, we both have never been there before. And somone mentioned a cruise, I would love that but when I suggested it - Sarah (the wife) said, "I am not ending up like the Titanic".
Going Titanic is virtually impossible these days. My wife went on a couple cruises with the kids. The culprit can be the all-you-can-eat food. You'll get back 10 lb heavier.
Hello Matthew, first I must appriciate that you give importance to the suggestions of your wife, its really good for your married life. After that I wanna say that I lived in Pakistan so dont know about the destinations you mentioned, but I wish where ever you go you enjoy so much, have a great trip and wonderful vacation in advance
