Dear All, We listed our new vacation rentals website with the ClickBank affiliate network only a few days ago. If you havent spotted the new product yet at the ClickBank site, please take a moment to review it. Anyone is welcome to join our affiliate scheme, and we are in particular looking for affiliates or website owners that may have a travel blog, property forum or a related high-traffic site. Find our product on the ClickBank marketplace at: Travel - Specialty Travel - Holiday Rentals. Our site is called HolidayRentalsForMe.com, ... and to your help we have developed a range of high-visibility flash banners that you can use to promote us - see our affiliates resource page for more details. Our scheme pays 40% commission, the price to the customer is $49. Any questions, feel free to ask! Have a great evening everyone.
Just so you know, most affiliates wont even consider promoting something that pays less than 60% commission.
I second that. 40% is something you would expect to see for hard goods or maybe some extreamly good software. Better start at 60% for information products or not many of us will not even have a look at it.
I like the idea but don't think the conversion will be very high for affiliate traffic. There's no place for listings to be bought, apart from having to register and do all that stuff. I'd highly recommend doing this - you put a big button at the top of the page (replace the "Post An Ad" button), and make the new button say - "Home Owners, EARN MONEY". Then when they click through, do a sales page of how your site can make them money through selling the rentals (it's best to include case studies and examples which are real for this type of product). At the end of the salespage, forget about registration etc - just put a big "Buy Now For $49" button and only when payment is processed do you get them to sign up. This way, it makes it more like a money making club for rental home owners rather than a free place to post a lousy ad. My .02
Hi, thanks for your replies: Lynx - good advice, thanks - we will fix that to improve the conversions for our affiliates. Give us a few days and we will have it done. dlm - i hear what you are saying on the %. its the absolute ROI that counts though and were betting on being able to up the price of the product as the site grows more popular. similar (yet more established sites) sites charge listings prices of $100-200 per year, which at the end of the day will be better than getting 75% of a more cheaply priced product. 30 affiliates have already signed up over the past few days, which we are very grateful for. If there is anyone out there with a TRAVEL BLOG, PROPERTY FORUM or other HIGH-TRAFFIC site - pls check out our affiliate scheme referred to above.
