alek, seems like you might get a few more backlinks if you didn't try to hide your link supporters, regardless of what kind of PR push they're giving you. Just a thought

Sorry for bumping you outa number 1 in Yahoo Alek. I'm not even competing how screwed up is that. Its all on page keywords in Yahoo that bumping me. I have no backlinks with anchor test as the keywords.

 

It will be interesting to see whether this has an effect. My site offers spiderable backlinks to any supporters but I reckon alek may have a good point about reciprocal linking being penalised.

Anyway I am sticking to the plan and it will be interesting to see what happens.

 

I'm not saying he has to direct link to them I've got 20/20 vision and can't even read who some of his supporters are without copying and pasting to notepad or such. As far as the reciprocal links, with Google, you just never know.

P.S. I'm still not real clear...Other than the anchor text effect, is there much difference between a direct link and a full URL on the page??

Yea, I'm not going to do recip links as outlined on my page ... so while PR6 and higher get listed, there is a nofollow there. And as ALSO noted, I'll remove the nofollow after May 15th ... so any page rank this page accumulates will then go to those supporters ... so drop me a note if you want to link from a PR6 or higher page and help support the charity cause.

Now that google has sorted itself out my leaderboard page is now live.

Not only can you view the 10 top sites but they are plotted on a google map showing their location and distance from google HQ.
