Time history graphs (ala DP Keyword tracker) would be very, very cool. As mentioned earlier, I saw a noticeable eyeball average drop in this area a week ago for the V-E charity site. BTW, I wonder how much geo-location comes into play - what numbers are you seeing on your end for this one?

OK - try this specific IP - I see it at #2 and #3 on that one (along with a few others), but yes, majority at #9-11 ... as noted earlier this big drop happened a week ago.

I'm in Colorado, USA - curious what people from other parts of the world see for the ranking of the V-E for Celiac Charity (easy to see in the SERP's - since most entries are just named V-E) using that specific IP.

I still think the continued variability of Google (45 days into the contest now) is an interesting story for those that like to watch tiny details.

 

Alek, region comes in to play with www.google.com - but as far as I know the other datacenters are essentially static (at least with regard to region).

I've just added an extra field to the scorecards called "Todays Global Rank". It shows your most commonly occuring rank across all datacenters. I don't know if it's at all pe-emptive, but handy either way.

I've been thinking about graphs too.. and I'll get to them eventually.. right now though I'm exploring a cool tool for those on the move.

I like the score card also, but I was rank 87 and put it on my main or top ranked site next up date I fell to 137 remove it put it on another site in contest and linked to it from main page. Next update google moved me up to rank 72.

This is unreal not sure if it was a glich or there are that many people viewing the v7n seo contest rules thread.

I wouldn't be too concerned. I think you'll find it's purely coincidence. I watch all the sites that carry the badge (remember, I have a bucket load of historical data), and I can assure you that there is no major distinction in terms of movement between those that have and those that don't. In fact, those that carry the badge have shown a progressive upward trend over the longer period. Of course I'm not attributing that to the badge - it could just be the sites using the badge are driven by active participants

I'll be releasing some even cooler tools soon too, so keep your eyes peeled.

WRT discussions about when V-E will show up in Google Images: yea, this will be interesting - the update interval seems to be anywhere between 1-6 months ... but it should be unmistakeable when it's done and I'm sure we'll see some V-E entries ... that is, unless Google Images dances as it has been doing with PR/BL the last few weeks.

Yes, that's my site. But as expected, my GlobalRank is now 2 (was 1) so NicheDynamics is definately on the decline. The top spot was a happy byproduct of an experiment I conducted which is now over.

Back up the thread aways for more info on that..
