The forum really doesn't make any money on the adsense. From what I see most of the revenue is from the banner ads and contextual advertising. There really seems to be a lot of overhead and you have to consider that a full time staff is required.
I got an idea, every member of DP chip in $2.00 we will have enough to buy & it can be one massive partnership. V7N becomes a public share hold
alright then $3.50 each, but thats my last offer shame it would never work, cause thats a really good idea!
There is already a thread about this in the directories forum, aswell as Johns thread in the sites forum. i guess its big news. i wonder how long until it hits the blogosphere. Free traffic for v7n when it gets this kind of publicity. I think someone who works hard and knows what they are doing can easily make $50,000 a month with the site. if I had that kind of money i'd be willing to spend up to 750k on it.
Yer JohnScott posted it here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=712888 I'm Up for a public share, why not i put $10.00 in the bin anyone else want a share? we can makw john our final offer if we get enough interest Have an official partnership agreement drawn up so no screwing each other over.
I can say that the v7n has lost some of its sheen over the period especially for the past year. That's the reason why John had decided to sell (shell!) it
wow thats a really big move of him to sell it. idk how somone can complain with 40k coming in a month =p
I don't think that's the reason. He's most likely got something else up his sleeves he wants to inject some money into. In regards to being hacked. He's a smart guy and has regular backups. He was onto it as as soon as he found out. Col
That isn't a bad idea. My not.... I'll come in with $100 as well Only need 4998 more people and we have it
That forum has been struggling for some time (my opinion) in terms of visitors. That's wy I think 500k is way, way to much. I would guess a fair price would be around 250k but even that I doubt it. Like i said before, forums is a very tricky business and many of them are really struggling to survive.
