The $500k was based more on the 2007 earnings, but if you check their 2008 earnings, I would say that $220k is a fair deal.
The new guy made a tidy profit. Though i hope he manages to put some life in it with the money saved!
I went to v7n but I find the format too confusing and left without signing up. I prefer just a neat and tidy forum . I think this is also a good reason why DP managed to thrive while v7n though having done quite well is still a far cry from DP.
they blocked me totally for 3 times for nothing, but i have 4 computers their mods were crap, Wish luck for new buyer.
Sold for 1 years profit, whoever got the site got a great deal. If I had a few hundred thousand extra dollars I'd have bought it.
V7N is not that good forum , infact you wil find hardly 10-15 active members on average , and most of them are mods .. I had a account in V7N I did not really like the service .. I think this price is still more than enough for V7N .. most of the members use V7N contextual that's why there is some fun there .. else there is nothing more than that !
If you clicked through the links that were provided in the OP. You would see at the marketplace at Sitepoint that it said sold and for the amount it was sold for. And yes indeed even for what some say is a dead board is still nice pocket change for John to pursue his interests in Philosophy in Japan.
