Save yourself... dont bet your login I guessed the right subcontinent, but was off on latitude. Just cross-checked your DP profile info... your Skype ID is in Mumbai. Kinda makes me doubt the first thing you said here at DP... So, you're EXACTLY to type we don't want near our WTS section, a lying sack of guano the kind that doesn't mind telling a whopper about being a US law student while sitting half a world away. If the first thing you say to us is a lie, what can we expect from your other posts? Forget V7n. Go play on Facebook, they don't care if you are a congenital liar. PS: Thank you for playing. Are you enjoying here fully yet?
Did a quick check, easily located two IDs of yours at V7n... One had been banned in Dec 2010 for good cause, the other one active (Well, not now), created the next month. See note above regarding creating a new ID after a permaban. We don't allow dups, and dont need ban evaders. Adios. This thread just proves the bans we've done over there are valid. Doubt that's the message the OP hoped to send, but such is life. BTW - How much is it worth for me to not share with the DP mods another ID you have here?
After John Scott sold V7N Forums to unknown owners, the place just isn't what it used to be. It has become a cesspool of ridiculous bans from power-hungry moderators, from what I was told. Someone I know was banned from V7N with the reason: “disrupting the forum†and all she did was post photographs.
You know if you want to protest a ban, you could use the contact us form and speak to the admin. Before John sold the forum, the forum was filled with a lot of spam on there. I know this because i helped clean up some of it when i joined 5 years ago. Perhaps someday you'll be banned from DP. You don't even know half of the stuff that we do behind the scene's. Even Shawn does so much behind the scenes on DP forum and still people find a way to complain about DP and power hungry moderators. It's a double edged sword being a moderator/owner of a forum. You can't please everyone and there are always a few bad apples that like to run there mouth.
I think the word i used for all the v7n mods was very wrong. I shouldn't have used it but now I can't edit my post. It would be fun to tell dp members why my 1st id got a lifetime ban on v7n back in 2010. This is the video which caused the ban. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQlIhraqL7o I posted it in their general chat section. The PM along with an infraction I got from a mod said that we don't allow such "inappropriate" videos on our site and also told me that my video was really "stupid". I replied back by saying he is an idiot. The mod responded by banning my id for a lifetime and wrote a comment somwthing like this. You don't respect the mods so you are not welcomed here. Please always remember that nobody will respect you unless you have earned it. Just because you are in a powerfull position you can't expect other people to treat you with respect even when you behave like complete idiots. I think its one or two morons who give a bad name to the whole community. But since those morons have been appointed by the admin therefore the whole community suffers.
Cute story.... but you weren't banned for posting a video, nor for calling anyone "an idiot". I saw the report. But then honesty isn't important to the type who create multiple IDs. Creating multiple IDs is a great way to burn bridges, and tells a lot about ones ethics. As for one or two "giving a bad name to the whole community"... having a bad name with spammers and liars is a good thing.
It takes a big heart to admit one's mistakes and correct them. Seems you don't have that. At this age I don't expect you to change.
Congratulations on getting a job to supplement your non existence Realtor income. By the way is that forum paying salary to moderators or is it the usual Real estate link farm, gambling, pharmacy link exchange thing?
What mistake am I supposed to admit or correct? I didn't do your first ban, so that can't be it, and your second ban was for a dup ID. If you're suggesting YOU admitted/corrected a mistake... I don't recall an apology for the rather graphic note you sent a mod in response to a simple warning for a low quality post. All I see is a lie saying you only called him an idiot, then a post calling people morons. Is this an example of admitting/correcting a mistake? Wow, how generous. Regardless, we run a forum, not a reform school for social cripples Only thing you're sorry about is getting caught. Even that was the result of calling people names. Slow learners don't correct mistakes, they repeat them.
Right now I don't have any records Listen I belongs to a South Asian Country where the ip's are dynamic. I doubt it might be a reason. It's not our fault cause it's our technological lacking. That's the main reason showing our ip's dynamic and only a few internet connections have their static ip. So why don't you give them one warning instead of perma-banned? We work hard to make reputation, strong profile backlinks and so on but may be many of ours luck doesn't support
Yes, i'm familiar with the ip situation in bangladesh. Havent figured out why they apparently also require a lot of you to either share email accounts or number them sequentially... Like whatever01 @ something. com thru whatever73 @ something. com. Gives us poor dilletantte mods the mistaken impression somebodys creating a boatload of extra IDs. Gotta give you guys credit for consistency though. From what ive seen you could be caught stealing a pig and have the thing tucked under your arm and squealing like a banshee... And when someone points it out you'd adopt an attitude of shocked innocence and say "Pig? What pig?" That said, when someone creates another ID (or 50) i dont feel a need to warn each one. Generally take them out en masse without so much as a note of explanation. If they cant figure out why they oughta quit whining about bans and spend a little of that rep and backlink building time reading and following the freakin guidelines. Its a discussion forum, not a freebie service for their fake profile convenience. If thats a problem, take it elsewhere.
V7N is a fairly good forum to post on. I just dont like how restricted it is on the web hosting advertising forum. Although it is good in some ways.
first of all mods should not to ban anyone, if they ban anyone then don't ban for such a long time 3 month, 6 months. As above said forums play an important role in webmasters life.
Those that create multiple ids are aware that it isnt allowed, but they dont care because theyre dishonest. I dont give a rats rear about the financial well being of the terminally dishonest. The forum requires they not do that. They do it anyway. So who is at fault for their ban? They are.
Check three of the IDs at your IP and let me know if you spot a pattern.... Your "rawhide" ID that "had only just registered and hadn't done anything yet" is in the center. The posts visible are at 3:57, 3:58, 3:59, 4:00, 4:01, 4:02.... The IDs at the same IP before and after did same. After a certain number of bans for it, you'd think a person might quit doing that.
do contact the supreme admin (cricket is the username of that person)of that forum. describe the situation and he may let you in. I've faced the similar prob in sitepoint forums, mod banned me permanently for replying the old threads (which are not perfectly answered yet, so I've replied). And the mod said that you're increasing your post count so banning you. I just contacted the community manager there and they said apologies for the mistake done bye on of their mod's. Even they reinstated my account with full access And that mod who banned me got a severe warning from the community manager for misusing the power. following is the message which I've got from the community manager as a response to my query
Great idea. Hey Rawhide... Go appeal a ban for speed-posting with multiple IDs to the one that MADE the rule against multiple IDs and speed posting. How could that possibly go wrong.
Hmm since you're taking time out of your day to help everyone understand bans. I created a backlink account at v7n: Andrew11 and was surprised it did eventually get banned. I was able to sell it and I think the content was up long enough for google to eat the backlinks and the buyer was happy, but just curious how did you figure out I was on the forum exclusively to backlink post? I'm usually pretty good about speed posting quality content and avoiding mods. I think I had 50 or 100 posts a day. Was the account banned for speed posting? Just curiousity, it was like a year and a half ago so no worries lol.
Good story to tell your clients... but you have an optimistic memory there. Here's what the stats show: .Lithe(same IP, same qualityposts.com sig as Andrew11) - Profile: http://www.v7n.com/forums/members/lithe.html Duration - 05-25-2010 thru 05-26-2010 Removed prior to Andrew11... fluff-posting for count. Andrew11 (Email: ssbmmarth @ ***, same IP as ID above) Profile: http://www.v7n.com/forums/members/andrew11.html Duration 06-08-2010 thru 06-08-2010 Obvious dup ID removed by admin the day of arrival... before hitting 10 posts. 24 by 7 (same IP as above, same useless posts for count) Profile: http://www.v7n.com/forums/members/24+by+7.html Duration - 07-21-2010 thru 07-24-2010 Removed the same day the ID began posting. Fluff posts and prior IDs, bad combo. Feel free to check the dates on the profile. They don't match your tale, nor any get 50 posts into the forum.
