v7inc servers blocked?

    Hey Shawn,

Quite a few of us are hosted on John's servers at v7inc.com ... our forums/sites failed to load suddenly due to coop ads ... is it OK to put the ads back on the site, if not how and when will it be fixed?

What's the IP address your site is on? The system will automatically block an IP address if someone on that IP is not caching ads properly (not saving to the ad_network_ads.txt file properly).

pc-clever.com, must-have-software.net, linkinparkforums.com and a few more are on those servers and part of the coop.

67.18.93.178 is on the blocked list. It looks like the problem was with linkinparkforums.com

Yeah, it's been unblocked. Although it's automatic, so it's possible it could happen again in the future.

I don't see any way that it could be on our (V7's) shoulders to monitor how many ads our clients serve on their web pages.

It should be your responsibility though to possibly at least provide an explanation as to why a script doesn't work on the servers yet works everywhere else.

Does this ban get lifted after the next validation if it works alright? My ads don't work anymore on http://www.clickhereforit.com , and I had quite a bit of weight with this site. I've updated the code, but still nothing.

Agreed... it's not the responsibility of V7.

Yeah I agree it isn't the responsibility of them now as it is an IP issue.
