See, I told you that you would love it. It's mindless drivel, with lots of action. It's sort of like Teletubbies for adolescent boys.
Actually it relates so much to present day it's amazing that the majority of people who go see it won't even realise it...
Ya, that and online games...online gaming is exploding, its particularly bad for movies because so many hollywood blockbusters have a target audience of teenages up to 30's somethings...prime gaming age groups. Id rather play WoW than watch 90% of the movies that come out these days...its actually more stimulating than the hollywood dribble. Plus if there's no soft porn in it..its lost me straight of the bat
I do not believe that the majority of moviegoers are quite as club-headed as you. The film was an obvious work of pure propaganda. One would have to be almost completely unconscious to miss this.
Hmm.. it seems the people have spoken: Critic Reviews: B User Reviews: B+ (7,542 ratings) B+ is a pretty big mark for a work of "pure propaganda"
It's part of being a good god fearing christian. You have to hate and be intolerate of everything you don't agree with.
The thing is, sometimes they do, come up with great movies that is. While up in Eau Claire last weekend (there is nothing to do there btw), I took in a movie. I decided to see "Capote", as I have been a Philip Seymour Hoffman fan for long time. After seeing him win the Oscar for best actor I knew I had to see this movie. I thought is was extremely well made, compelling, and kept my attention throughout the entire film. I was so intrigued by the story I went to the nearby mall and purchased "In Cold Blood". I've got 30 pages left, which I will finish tonight. It is an incredible book, Truman Capote is a brilliant writer, and the movie (based not on Capote's book, but his account of his time spent in Holecomb and writing the book) is a work of art. It's been a long, and I mean, LONG time since I went to a theatre to see a film and came away feeling my money was well spent. And to think it was only 5 bucks. I spent 3 times that to see crap in the past. I guess the DVD comes out tomorrow, and I will be picking it up, that much is for sure. Anyway, thank you for the review Will. I will likely watch the it much like I did Moore's recent attempt at comedy, ala bit torrent. If Hollywood would spend more time taking good stories and creating screen plays out of them for movies instead of trying to push some nut ball agenda, they would not be in the trouble they are in.
There's a shocker. I've not been this shocked since a little boy claimed Michael Jackson touched his privates...
I can't wait to see the movie. Looks pretty good. I am not sure how it's a anti-Bush film since the work is decades old. But, we see what we want to see.
i don't know that movie looks like peice of crap to me, some guy dancing around with a gay ass mask throwing knives, it looked good until I saw the mask, and natalie portman kind of sucks
