Utilizing "Dead" pages for Links

    Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this, but here it is anyway! :D

I used to house a photogallery for an organization for several years on my server and they moved it to their own domain last year. I'm still getting requests for this gallery on my server (about 100 - 200 requests per month) and was wondering about utilizing this "dead" traffic to promote some of my other services and thoughts, similar to a 404 page.

Thoughts on using this to build links?

You can you a page with links or redirect the traffic to some of your pages.

IF you put up a page a nice gesture would be to include a link to the correct site somewhere.

Maybe at the bottom of the page in small type. :)

You can 301 redirect those links to another page on the site.

I think that this is the right thing to do, but not hidden at all, but rather right there at the top in easy to read letters... then sell your own under that.

One page over multiple pages may be easier, though if any of those pages have lingeting PR, then I am unsure if there would be a loss.

try to re-direct them to the site that they want to view.... but you can also throw in your link as well .

    I'd go with this option.

Otherwise hit them with some decent adverts and try make some money. You could always sell...
