Even with the strict guidelines for posts that craigslist.org enforces there is still lots of money to be made by marketing your product there. This is an excellent place to market real estate. However, be careful and follow the guidelines. Don't spam craigslist... Don't post your Url in the real estate for sale section. Dont post multiple ads to several cities at once. Do List your Real Estate with telephone or email contact and watch the leads pile in. One good tip is to make sure and add pictures. if you are familiar with HTML Design a nice AD using your HTML skills. Taking care to use Keywords in the Title and body as well.

Also, if you can, don't use the same email account when making several postings. It will raise a red flag and your postings (even though they may all be different) might get deleted.

This is easily done if you have your own domain, so you can have all the posting emails forwarded to the same place instead of having to check a bunch of different accounts.

You can also try marketing (non-spam) to other countries.
Some of their newer locations have few ads, so yours 'last' longer. :)

I was experimenting with some online marketing sites and discovered that Craigslist is truely amazing, so I ratched up my marketing campaign on Craigslist and I got banned. I have learnt a lot from my experience.

First of all, if you use a few different email accounts and a few different computers at different locations you are much less likely to get caught. Make sure you rotate your email accounts you use and don't post the same repetitive ads. Also, rotate your email address. Mix it up and there is less chance you will get caught. Also, don't spam Craigslist with a bunch of repetitive posts and don't spam them in different geographical areas either, because you will get caught. If you are in a different country and you try to post to the US, Craigslist is capable of detecting these posts and you won't be allow to post. I am from Canada and I have been able to post to some US cities. Make sure you spread your postings out over time too. The other thing to remember is to make sure you have your postings in the right category so it won't get flagged. Also, don't word your ad like its spam. You are also allow to post pictures but no flash or javascripts. Finally, wait a bit (more then 24 hrs) before you repost an ad. Hope that helps!!

I got more tips at http://ebayadsense.blogspot.com/ if you are looking.

    Cheers!
