Hi, Just thought I'd pass on some info on a couple of phone calls I've received over the last 2 days regarding investment into an oil company. The story is yesterday I had a guy called Gavin ring me allegedley from Bharain, he started talking about an investment in a company dealing with oil. Before he could continue I stated that I wasn't interested hung up and thought that was that. Then today, I received yet another call from the same person, who didn't want to take no for a second time, so thinking he may be ringing from Bharain and he was phoning my mobile I thought s** it and started to listen. He went on to try to entice me to visit a website and input a username and password to get all the details, suggesting that big money was to be made from an oil company who were about to be floated on the usa stock exchange - alarm bells already ringing - he stated that the maximum investment was £40,000 - more alarm bells - the conversation ended with him saying that he wishes to ring again on Monday after he thinks I have visited the website. Suffice for me to say I wont be visiting the website but wondered if anyone else had had similar phone calls and what they made of them or is this really a 'golden opportunity' or just another scam to be warned of. Personally I believe it to be a scam but that is only my opinion and being new on this forum thought it may be of interest to others to either look into or stay well clear, my only enjoyment out of this is I kept him on the phone for nearly 9 minutes - lol
