Hello, On the google server thread i started earlier, many noticed and doscussed the using_borg parameter given in that error message, remember? Now, can you please comment on the following google URL? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=--using_borg&btnG=Search update: --using_spamscore also returns same results http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=--use_spamscore&btnG=Search The SERPS look strange, with an additional line of violet text appearing to show kind of shopping related information.. How is all that related? Good luck, Ruslan
The - in fornt of it makes it an exclusion so that search won't give any results me thinks. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=use_spamscore&btnG=Search works better.
Interesting to see shawns blog is ranked second in that search. The DP thread isn't even indexed. The digg effect I guess.
TOP30.. this is not what i am talking about, i know the google query language very well.. Did you notuce the way the SERPS look with the link i provided? Shall i post a screenshot? Do you see the violet line?
Wow! Great find!! I believe google is experimenting with integrating Google base into the serps. (Since the products link goes there, and listing housing is also popular on base.) I doubt this will be integrated into the public serps. Maybe op-it if you are logged in to google? Resistance is futile. All your base are belong to Google.
Those are results from Google Base. If you have products listed in Froogle, Google has the product page listed twice. Once as a result from the website and the same page listed again with the "More about: Products link you see under the clickable text. Actually, a site can end up with 3 listing for the same page. The 2 a mentioned above AND the Froogle product result at the top of the page. These type of results have been showing up in a regular search for some time now. It appears as if they are *experimenting* with incorporating Base listings into their general search results OR using them to fill a query, much like the supplemental index is supposed to work, when they cannot find enough results in the regular index. --using_borg is most likely just a cute name for a cluster with no central point of failure (multiple masters). What was the borg? It was the "collective conscious" of many individuals acting as one. There is no leadership hierarchy (you can't target the "upper ranks" to collapse the lower).
