If I remember correctly, if you use the same content from one site to another, that hurts you ranking in google and other search engines. But what if I like put a YouTube video, or even another picture that is all over the web. Does that just like content, or does it not hurt it at all. I plan on uploading various youtube videos and writing unique content about the video. Thanks for your answer
You mean adding videos, and then making your own text (content) on that video? Yes. I am sure that will be perfectly fine.
I also think that it would not be a problem if you write unique contents and then use the same videos for your contents.
Technically it should be good for seo, with the reasoning that customers will browse longer on your site. Logically the videos must be the same theme as the page, or have a sort of directory to house them. such as surfing videos on a page about surfing. If you put the same video on a page about Xmas I think it will drop serps. I have no evidence for this, but I have several sites where I use Utube to get around copyright. and serps if fine
Yes search engines cannot read the text in the video. So no duplicate issue if you are using duplicate content in your video. It will be helpful to bring more traffic but you cannot get backlinks from youtube. It is nofollow video posting site.
I think there is no problem if you add video on your site. Google does not claim that video is part of a content.
