Using YouTube to your advantage

Alright, I would like to speak of a personal experience with Youtube. YT is a very good source of steady traffic, once your videos do relatively well. I usually upload vids one a weekly basis, and one of them got over 100,000 views. When I added it initially, I also added my URL to the description, and in 4 days, I clocked in 1200 visits. Now this might not seem like alot, but the traffic was very steady, plus brought superb returns for my Adsense.

So maybe you can try it out, add some vids, market them and keep it fairly updated for a long term yet very targeted and consistent flow of traffic.

I tried to market youtube traffic and it seems it converts better than SE traffic. The return is because the videos look like commercials I get a steady income from youtube. I only managed to get like 200 uniques per day but those uniques can convert real good.

When you are creating your videos, is there a certain format that converts better? I see a lot of videos where people just post written content on videos using slides and a music background. Is this type of video worth creating, and also, do you submit to other video sites?

could someone gather all the biggest video sites and post a small list? youtube is the biggest but other smalles sites might bring good results too.

I have really been considering using YouTube to generate some additional traffic. Does anyone have any suggestions about what format or recording program would be best in order to make one ? Also if anyone has already made videos for youtube and had success with them, please let me know how you did it.

Traffic from YouTube seems to convert best when it's a video that shows exactly what the user will be getting when they go to my site. I get less visitors from laser-targeted subject videos like that, but they convert well.
