Using Youtube to Promote

Ok, I created a video for youtube in order to promote my site, and it has gotten me a few new members, but I would really like to expand it and get many more views. So I'm looking for some tips on how to get more views on youtube, and without spamming the link everywhere.

Also, the link to my video is below. I think it is ok for promotional purposes, but I'd be welcome to feedback. It is just the first video I've ever done.

1 - The link to your site goes at the top of your video description, not at the bottom.

2 - maybe add Nintendo Wii in the video title, that way it gets indexed. Titles are very important keywords. Which is more popular & which will get more search results, Nintendo WII or Super Smash BC? The answer should go first in the video title followed be the second.

3 - website name should go at the start and finish of the video. Even if the person watches the first 5 - 10 seconds of the video they still see your website address.

4 - the average adult attention span is about 45 seconds. Consider making some short videos so the person does not lose interest.

5 - add some more videos, that way the "More From: butler312" box has something in it. With only one video you are missing an important column.

6 - fix up your profile page, its bland. - http://youtube.com/user/butler312 Change the colors and background.

7 - you have the video embedded in your forum, that is a good thing.

8 - go ahead and register the youtube account name SuperSmashBC before someone else gets it.

Good layout in the description box.

Would going around and adding other people who have posted gaming videos as friends help for when I add new videos?

    I dont know about that.

when someone subscribes to your videos, post a comment on their profile page with a thank you and ask them to visit the site. Youtube has blocked posting links in comments, so you will just have to say something I thx, be sure to visit the site.

I created a document in notpad, then just copy and paste the thank you.

You can only post 3 or 4 comments on peoples profiles every hour or so. So try to hit the people that watch a lot of videos with your thank you comments.

Be sure to get that SuperSmashBC username registered!!!!

Leave your video as replies to popular gaming videos.

Thanks. I made it using imovie HD. It is the first time I had used the program, so I really didn't get too in depth with it.

Have you tried a software called Video Post Robot? This software can distribute your videos to 20+ video sites.

Nintendo wii CPA offers are good to promote at youtube as you can use it for almost anything. No, make that anything. If you can find a controversial topic then capitalize on it.
