Using Your Own Theme, Logo, Name for another site

    Hello,

Is it okay to copy MY OWN theme files, logo, template, settings to start a country level version of the existing .COM blog? The contents will be unique and not COPY PASTE of the .com.

Both the sites will be interlinked.... for related posts....

Will it be marked as spam by Google? Or they won't give much value to the new blog?

You need the permission of the original website to do so. Otherwise it is likely you wil be charged for copyright and trademark infrigment.

Yet, you should still get the permission for this, especially if the domain name is trademarked.
A good example is what happened with techradar.gr 2 years ago. Different subjects, different design, yet TechRadar.com shutted it down for using the same domain name even in country(.gr) level.

As long as the content is unique I don't think there will be any problem. There are tons of sites that use the same themes, duplicate content penalties are for the actual content the page.

If you DO want to use any of the same content (though I know you said you didn't), you can use the hreflang attribute which is similar to rel=canonical but it tells Google that the pages are the same but targeted to different regions. You can set it up so that they'll show the .in version to people in India and the .com to everyone else.

    some references on hreflang:

i don't think i will be spam because you use a unique content.and mostly Google consider only content.
