Is it OK to use your own text links and/or graphics when advertising CJ products? Many advertisers there while having good products provide sub-par graphical creatives (or creatives that don't integrate well into the design of my website) or text-links without calls to action (ex. "Product X with features Y and Z" rather than "Click here to buy product X with features Y and Z). Needless to say that this affects monetization badly. So I'm curious if it's OK to use your own creatives or ad copy? Who if anyone would be enforcing this? Publisher? CJ?
I do it all the time, and sometimes the advertiser want to give me a hard time about it.. but when I ask them about the quality of my traffic, and if there is a problem with it.. They leave me alone and pay the commissions. They 'say' you can contact the affiliate managers for each particular program, but I have never had any luck with that. They always seem to ignore.
Needless to say with the recent google serp changes all your affiliate links must redirected (cloaked).
I usually have about 30 (CJ) campaigns running at any given time. On average I get this situation with an advertiser about once every other month.
