Using yahoo groups fr marketing ?

Have anyone used Yahoo Groups and Msn Groups for marketing ?

ah this is a fantastic method. but hardly anyone use it for marketing. These are normally friends and society groups which is used to share information.

If you know someone having one then you can benefit from it

 

according to their terms you cannot use such services for commercial purposes

 

But you can be a helpful member of a group who just happens to own a store related to the niche. Their TOS, AFAIK, says you can't open up new groups and have them solely for commercial purposes..

 

Yes, that is cool. These groups are huge. lots of people and probably targeted.

 

I have a couple of groups I post to daily, and because my URL is in my email sig, I usually get 20-50 uniques from my daily posts. I'm fairly knowledgeable in the topic and will give I hope are insightful answers - I'm assuming the response would be lower for more spammy messages.

 

I've used it quite a bit. But not obviously, just a link in my email signature like TeeJ above.

 

Are you selling something? Does that traffic convert to sales or ad clicks?

 

We have had some good success using Yahoo Groups to market our adult projects.

 

Yup..sure did and it can be a great way to advertise! Just try not to SPAM the groups..

I find them to be too much work to take care of, since they get hit *so* hard with spam.

 

I tried this but the result is not good... just a waste of time... but if you want to create a mailing list for free, this is a good choice..

 

Do you have to promote the Yahoo Group to get members, or is the traffic from Yahoo Groups enough in popular niches?

This is one of good method for marketing becasue it wont cost you anything except you rsoem struggle

 

This can be a good thing if it is not abused I will look into it
