Using Yahoo Answers For Traffic Generation....

I'm just wondering if I'm alone in my observations of Yahoo Answers. I know that (we) marketers use it for backlinks and traffic.
But I have to say, the half-dozen times or so I've lurked around, and spent a good amount of time, I just seem to find/see almost
nothing but inane, ridiculous questions and statements—especially pertaining to our field.

What I'd like to know is, if anyone has used Yahoo Answers effectively in the area of traffic generation? Has anyone actually made
good use of it? And, what I'm missing, if I am missing, anything. Or, am I correct in what I find there.

Just answer questions related to your niche/business or at least interconnected theme with your site.
Give it a time.
Don‘t hope to get ton of traffics by just hanging around there.
Try to involve in very laser targeted question according to your niche only.
People love to check your link if it‘s useful and related with the topic in Yahoo Answer.

how i can use Yahoo answers to drive traffic to funny quotes and sayings site ? Is it possible ?

 

I've never tried this however i have used Yahoo answers to find new ideas for niches

 

Actually I made my first $40 thanks to Yahoo Answers.

The link is not even clickable because I'm just in level1, but I get about 20-30 clicks a month from that one answer. It brings me the traffic since I
answered (about a year ago).

So yes, YA is good source of traffic if you scale it up.

 

Yahoo answers can be a gold mine.

There is software out there that will scan yahoo answers in real time for keywords and answer them accordingly.

The sites great for both SEO and targeted traffic - Everyone should spend a few hours each week searching for questions related to their niche and become helpful so you can drop your sites link and gain some valuable traffic!

I´m using Yahoo answers (And some other similar sites as well) to get traffic to my sites and squeeze pages. I works real fine, but you must post high quality content in order to get qualitry traffic!

 

If you know how to do it then its good to your and to your site, its not easy to do yahoo answers, not all become successful in using this kind of traffic source.

 

I only know of two, which i dont use myself but they are popular

yahoo answers can give you laser targeted traffic, just answer people's queries and become top contributor, then you will get noticed ore often!

 

no, I havenever even try to do it, I always used Yahoo answers just to find out about newideas and search for new niches

 

I agree with some of the previous comments. It doesn't give you tons of traffic right away. You just need to keep answering questions related to you site, and leaving your link in the source box.

You have got to answer the questions well. It is always better to have your answer, which has your link, to be chosen as a best answer.

 

Failier to hit the target is never the fault of the target. You need to find targeted questions that relate to your nitch or site then answer the question. Does that make sense?

 

Yahoo answer is still in use for generating traffic. But the scattered answer, about which you told, is not effective at all. The way of traffic generation using Yahoo answer is almost same to commenting on forum and blog. If your answer is valuable and important it can give you some traffic. If not, it will not give you traffic at all.

 

Yahoo answer can give you a good amount of traffic only if you can participate in relevant queries associated with your niche. Just answering everywhere without any plan will not give you good result.
