    Hi Everyone...

I have lost my paypal check now for the second time. Now this made me think of using the serivce like xoom. But i am little bit doubtfull about it...

As xoom doesnt alow funds to be transferred from india to india. Will it affect my payment..

I registered a account with them with Indian address what if i request money from them from my indian verified paypal account.. Wont it be against there TOS. I am sacred what if they block my funds. :(

Anyone here using xoom? Please help me.

    Regards

Others from India has used Xoom and have not faced any problem. Just do the transfer to your bank account and you should be fine.

I've used it myself and it's worked. I'm an Indian too.

Just make sure the recipient and the sender are different (different names). Because, it's not supposed to be used to "withdraw" money; only to "send" to others.

What I did was, put my info in the Sender field and my dad's account info in the Recipient field. Then asked me dad to withdraw my money from his account :).

    Regards,
    Nithanth

How would they check the recipient's IP address? The recipient doesn't even need to have internet.

If that doesn't work, just send paypal money to a USA person and have them send you back xoom,

I do that for a few people here. :)

Ok let me clarify things out for you all. I have used it two times.
    Hewre is what i did
    1. I have a premier account from which i sent the money to my bank account (using deposit in bank option) and then Xoom gave a conformation call to me asking me whch ebay item did i sell and my ebay id. I informed them about DP and gave my DP id to them. In three days i had the payment depositied in my account. NOTE : Both sedner and reciever were me in this case

    2. For the second time i used my personal account to send the payment. They asked this time for my Passport and Utility bill for an address proof. I got my money in 4 days again. Even this time i was the sender and reciever.

ATTENTION : Please make sure that you choose deposit in bank directly option as other options like delivery courier and pickup at instant cash are considered ill-legal as your sending money within India and most impoirtantly from India.

These two options are available if any of your friends/relatives who are in US/EURPOE and do this favour and send your money back to you from there account. Then it will be perfectly legal

Also please make sure that your name on the Xoom Account and on the Bank Account should be the same.
And use it without any worries, its Legal :)

You can open a Xoom Account as an Indian User :)
It is completely Legal to Transfer funds from Xoom to Bank Accounts :)
Just Donot use Pick Up Facility, only stick to bank deposit.

Also use the codes XOOMLATINO and Jim to get Xoom fess Exemption.

    Regards,
    Kulwinder.
