I'm moving over an incredibly big site from an old CMS into Wordpress (manually). After about 2 months, I'm almost done. My question is - should I install wp-cache immediately before the site goes live, and will it really help or be worth it? Also, are there any downsides to using wp-cache?
::Advantage:: Yes you have to install the wp-cache right now. It will helps in saving your bandwith, server load together with it boost up the loading time of your pages in wordpress. :isadvantage:: Some pages doesn't update soon after changes from dashboard Overall Review I have more than 1000 post in my blogs once it get's more than 62% sytem value so besides having reseller account my site get suspended when i talked with the system then he refer me using wp-cahce. Since that day this works perfectly for my blog. How To Install Wp-cache 1.Upload to your plugins folder, like ../wp-content/plugins/ and unzip the file, it will create a wp-content/plugins/wp-cache/ directory. 2.If you have Gzip Compression enabled turn it off (in Options->Reading). (by default it is activated) 3.Activate the plugin from plugin menu in dashboard 4.By default it will auto configure all the things Note:-You can specify rules that reject request based on URI strings and also specify acceptable files for caching. Feel free to bother me regarding..!!
