Using Wordpress Widget with TLA

Been trying to get an answer from their support for days now... but no luck... so I thought maybe someone here might know.

I recently signed up with TLA (text-link-ads) and installed their wordpress widget on a couple of sites. I also installed their php version on a couple more sites later. The widgets still read "Not Accessing XML" although their was no XML file that came with the widget. The other sites are progressing thru the various stages their.

The widgets seem to be running fine on my end... so can anyone shed some light on this ?

I would suggest you to remove the widget and to forget about TLA.
Otherwise your sites will be penalized really soon.
    Google hates TLA to death.

eh... who needs google ? lol

and IF TLA wants to pay me 10x what google does... especially for sites that google has already shown its disliking for (ie: directories)... then why not ?

I may take them off those two blogs tho. What sort of penalty could my sites face ? And how would they know I am using TLA on my sites ?

I dont see how google can see that I have the TLA plugin, in my source code it just generates the links - I am talking about the incontent links not the blogroll. Can someone tell me more about this?

Using TLA is a surefire way to get penalized in google. It isn't that difficult for them to tell, suddenly you are getting a huge jump in link count from spam sites. You will face both a SERPS and PR penalty if google finds out.
