Using Wordpress.org???

Hello everyone. My blog, Logoflare.com, is hosted with blogger but I am reading a lot recently about the perks of using wordpress.org to host a blog. I am worried about SEO because I hear that wordpress makes it a lot easier for search engines to find your site than blogger does.

I really don't care which one I use as I just want a popular blog that helps people out and maybe makes me a bit of money on the side. I have a lot of knowledge about blogging but I had a quick question about wordpress.org.

I really don't know anything about HTML so I didn't know if I had to be experienced with HTML or not in order to use wordpress.org. I get the whole self hosting thing but I just don't really know how to code a website at all.

Does using wordpress.org require you to code your own website or could I simply download a template and use the website to edit it? I started with blogger so I really know nothing about wordpress.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, it seems like every popular/famous blog I visit is hosted with wordpress.org. Does anyone know any popular/famous blogs that are blogger blogs? Thanks.

Well, you can't host a blog at wordpress.org . You can only download Wordpress to install in on your own host. Though, you can go for wordpress.com to get a hosted blog (like blogger). I tried them once, but everything is very limited, if you want to customize little things, it's gonna cost you money.

I would say get your own server and download Wordpress. Its easy to customize and if you can't do it by yourself, you can certainly find a plugin for it. Its like an iPhone of the blogging world.

I'm using it on a few of my blogs.

    Hope that helped.
