Using Wordpress Need Joke Content for Blog to keep it fresh

    Hi I'm looking for ideas. I have a phpbb forum with loads of jokes and videos and wanting to convert it to a Wordpress Joke Blog where people can send me jokes.
    What plug ins should I use.
    Where can I get Joke Content to import into the blog posts, Like a daily feed that will auto post the jokes. I'm A member of wpmuDEV and can used there plugins like auto blog ect.
    The joke forum never worked out. My only problem now is the word forum is in the url. thejokeforum.com (maybe I should sell it and start fresh?)

    what does everyone think?
    What would you do?
    How would you go a bout it?

    Well,

    It couldn't hurt to keep your name and just serve a blog. The domain has age and you may want to bring a forum back in the future. I'm do not think visitors will be upset to arrive and not find a forum, as long as they are getting the jokes.

    I think what you would need to do is export the database table that holds the jokes to csv format, and then clean it up in excel. Then resave the cleaned up csv content and use a csv importer to import and schedule the jokes in an automated fashion. BlogSense is capable of importing the csv and there are a lot of other good csv importers.

    Alternatively, like you said, you could start completely over. : )

    As for other forms of joke content importing you could use RSS auotmation along with content sources like:
    http://jokesareawesome.com/rss/

    I ran a search on google for "jokes database rss" and that was one of the first results I found. I hear WPMu does have an automation solution, also, BlogSense has the internet's top RSS-based automation solution, so there is another consideration.

    I will have to think of a layout and maybe find a plug in my to deliver e-mail via joke. and set up a my own feeds.

    I just took the plunge with a joke database. I'm looking for now a Funny Picture Database of about 5-10,000 Funny Pictures to start. Will review less database of pictures.
    If you know of any please let me know.

    Wanted to try a new approach on it. When I had the forum there was no users joining and I'm on a blog kick now :>
    But thinking of adding a small wp forum later on.
