hey I was thinking would it be smart to use your URL in the title if you werent selling anything just trying to drive traffic. I think my url BarNews.TV will jump out at interested parties and it may give them the chance to just type it in instead of click and waste money. Any thoughts?

I think that's correct - its true that people may have something stay with them that they check out later on - fair point and good luck!!

Keep in mind the title will be bolded only if a visitor search for BarNews.TV.
    That will affect CTR

Most people will just click, typing is an extra step.

Google doesnt allow such things. I just bolded my title and got a mail from google to fix it. They stopped showing my ads till i changed my Title into lower case. U can try that and see whether google allows it or not. Best of Luck

Using keywords in the ad title work best, not using the site name. Somebody searching for "Free Beer" wouldn't know what BarNews.TV is, but they all know what "Free Beer" is. In that case, use Free Beer as the title.

I guess the keyword being in bold does draw a lot of attention doesnt it... Hmm I wonder if having some more clicks and traffic outweighs the slight possibility someone will just type in the url instead of clciking.... I guess that wouldnt happen anyways as someone said earlier it is just an extra step. I dunno I guess it could go either way... Has anybody read any good articles on search engine consumer behavior they want to post on here... And no I do not want to buy any. :) Ill keep this thread alive I think it has some points

The only time it would be a good idea to put your URL in your ad's title is if you were bidding on your URL. If you want to drive a decent amount of traffic and get a high quality score/low CPC, you want the title to be as relevant as possible to your keywords. Very few people are going to click on your ad if they don't know of your site and don't see any relevance to their query. And no-one's going to save you money by putting down their mouse and inputting your URL in their browser address bar. Most people don't even know that clicking on Adwords ads costs people money.
