Using Twitter to Generate Traffic

All,

I am new to twitter and want to start using it to generate traffic to my blog. Can anyone explain how you use it? I want to open up an account soley to generate web traffic and nothing else. Is this ok. Will I get into bother with them?

Here are a few ways to use Twitter to market your community, it could be applied to any website.

 

Get loads of friends to register and vote for your link. OR ... get a great link "Mylie Cyrus stole my virginity" would get lots of hits.

Twitter is nice as a link distribution tool, but don't expect too much from it. I have seen far better result from Facebook than Twitter - and I have 2x as many Twitter followers than I have fans on Facebook.

twitter is good in generating your traffic. I use twitter in my website and i downloaded a plugin in wordpress that can easily post in twitter when my website post a new topic..(Is that COOL right? no hassle. hehe)

As of my experience good traffic from Twitter can be generate with two main conditions: a lot of followers + good and appealing posts.

 

Just follow relevant people and share relevant things in form of tweets. You will get traffic.

 

I just tried to post link in one of my Twitter accounts (18 400 followers): 1 post - 2 visits. But I'm not sure, that every post can get such reply.

 

Wow, your followers is 18,400?.. that's wicked sick. hahaha.. and about 1 post - 2visits?. hmm maybe you should put something nice and get there attention to click your link. And it is relevant to what they're doing.

Twitter is good websites to promote. Just post good stuff and they will click that.
