The amount, if any, that you earn will, of course be determined by what traffic you get and whether your adsense is shown on your page. This will, in turn, depend upon how well you have optimised your page(s) and how well you have funnelled your traffic.

Yeah.. I don't know. That idea of going after the highest paying keywords don't connect to myself.
I have read that this things don't work like that.. but who knows. Maybe I'm just week minded.

Of course, it depends how you do it. If you use the top keywords that has a lot of competition then you will likely be dead in the water. But, what if there is less (or less capable) competition? Then you would be more likely to get top spots.

This is timely, thanks. I'm expanding my finance site so now I know some keywords to use for the new sections.

why would you get a ban just because your content (content being the operative word) contains high-paying keywords? If I did a series of mini-articles on different types of insurance and what levels you should have at different points in your life and suggestions on how to save money on your insurance surely I wouldn't deserve a ban just because I'm using terms like 'auto insurance quotes' and similar...

If you're just keyword stuffing though then that might be a problem. But anyone who is doing that is just asking for (and deserving, IMO, a ban).

You don't earn $50 per click, but you do earn higher than other keywords. Unless the keyword has so few advertisers that they never display on your site, then you just get untargetted ads. ;)
