If you place the following following tags in your HTML webpage does it help you in SEO? I always thought it never but a very well ranked website i am competing against has stuffed loads of keywords in the comment tags and his website is ranked pretty high up in google for the keywords being used in the comment tags.

If not then why else would this website put lots of keywords in the comment tags?

I think the consensus is that it matters less now than it used to.

Search engines will either ignore keywords in comments, or penalise you for it. Either way, I wouldn't recommend it.

It's probable that this competitor of yours has employed other 'black hat' techniques to out rank you. The search engines will catch up to him sooner or later...

    hi ash,
My suggestion is google will consider it as a blackhat SEO,coz google loves those website which provide good and fresh information to users, crawler always know that that person have write lots of stuff in coments which will not provide any information to users, and it might be possible that google will not consider that coment tag for SERP.so it is not advisable to use that SEO trick.
