I have read a few places about ways to hide or mask your affiliate links. I believe I can use TinyURL as a fast and free way to do this. BUT, I was disappointed with the response I got from my AM: [13:26] ME: Can I put my Tracking URL link in a shortener like TinyURL and still get credit for the sale? [13:26] AZNAdvisor: o i have never heard of anyone doing that [13:27] AZNAdvisor: i would say avoid that [13:27] AZNAdvisor: as this code is embedded with all information to be linked with us Obviously this concerns me because I would rather not broadcast out to the world my affiliate links and/or show my visitors that it is an obvious affiliate offer but I really don't want to go out creating links that would have to be changed later. Any "real world experience" advice would be great. Thanks in advance.
I think it should work just fine but it's quite unprofessional. Just get a domain and redirect via your own domain.
How do you redirect via your own domain? Do I need to do some other page that will redirect to affiliate link?
its totally ok. it will work fine. but a bit unprofessional. cause a few of us use it so try to find another technique. i think it is a better idea
I have set up a wordpress blog on my domain and use prettylinkpro DOT com/ , only pretty link, not the pro version but I didnt find the link now since I just got it through wordpress automatic plugin system. Then you get a new tab in wordpress to paste your links in and then you can use links like it autogenerates like yourDomain DOT com/t4t55 or you can change the last part to yourDomain DOT com/amazing60minVideoWithCelebrity
i have never heard that it creates problem. but it is not hugely used by other people. and as AZN adviser has told you not to do this so i think avoiding is the best idea. you should remember that all the networks just find your faults not to pay you. so be careful. thanks.
Well, I ended up moving away from Azoogle and went on to Neverblue and GetAds. Much happier and they don't seem to mind the masked links. I had some tracking that said my offers converted but AZN disagreed so we no longer do business
