    Hi,

I use some third party word press themes on few of my blogs and after few days I noticed that all of my wordpress blogs were hacked.

Can anyone please help me out how to deal with hackers and how to secure Word press blogs after adding new themes.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards

The answer to your question would depend on what exactly you mean by "hacked". Are the blogs still visible? You can't log in to admin?

The answer will determine if you can get them back. If you just can't log-in you may be able to change the password and user-name in the database through your hosting account. If the wordpress install was deleted somehow in you file manager the posts may still be recoverable with a new install.

Just saying that they were "hacked" doesn't allow for any firm answers.

You can not get hacked because of WP Themes! You may have a Trojan running on your computer and hackers can monitor your passwords however tell your host that you are hacked and they can easily restore from their back-ups :)

Even your blog got hacked, you should have the control of the database. Log in to your phpmyadmin through cpanel/control panel, change the password for admin. Then log into your blog and make the necessary changes. However, if it still doesn't work for you, your dns records must be hacked. In that case, you should talk to the domain registration company.

    All the best.

Hi, i see you have been given plenty of advice on reinstating your blog so maybe your next step is to secure your blog from hackers who can quite often guess your password with normal FTP programs. I was recommended WinSCP (SFTP) which is a secure FTP Client for Windows - you can download the program for free. Just type in WinSCP in your browser search field to find it.

If your host is any good at all they have an older backup of your sites. Write their tech support. Ask them to restore the back up. Then immediately change your passwords.
