Using The Word "The" In Domain Names? (www.the___.com)

What is everyone's take on domain names with the word "the" in them?

    For example...
You want to build a blog about cars. You start to check out some domains and find the following:

carblog.net (carblog.com is taken, but not developed)
thecarblog.com (thecarblog.net and .org are also available)

*these are just examples. I have no idea about the actual availability of these domains*

Would you rather buy carblog.net, develop the blog, and hope that one day the .com domain becomes available so you can scoop it up?

Or, would you add the word "the" and have the ability to buy the .com, .net, and .org? (thecarblog.com, thecarblog.net, thecarblog.org)

I'm not sure if this has been discussed already, but I did try searching for it. Let's just say that there are a lot of results with the word "the" and "domain" in them.

The word THE is fine, but make sure your domains are THE + 1 KEYWORD, for example, TheLawyer.com
