Using the own Google Search

Hey guys, got another question regarding the TOS:

Am I allowed to use the Google Search Option, which is implemented in my site (of course with my pub-id) to do some searches on my homepage, aswell?

As far as I know the pure search itself doesn't generate revenue - just clicking on the ads on the SE"R"P would do.

So is it legal to search via the own Google Search Field?

Hum, there's nothing written about using the search function. So I guess it's okay to do so...?

When you do a search, if there are enough ads you will get the first 3 to 5 listings on the results page to be sponsored. If you click on one of the links, it would be like clicking on your own ad.

And the real questions is: why would you even do it? With so many horror stories about banned accounts I would never even touch my google bar.

I've been using Atom for years, which pays nothing, and will be switching to Google soon. I like that you can make it look like your own site easily, but a while back they started putting ads in the searches – ads that I not only have no control over, but don't get paid for. So I'll be switching, probably sometime in the next few days.

I use Atom myself to find stuff on my own site – no problem. I can't imagine that Google would be pissed with you for doing that. But the best bet would be to ask them, I guess.

I am pretty sure this would not cause troubles, since you are not clicking on your own ads. A question in along the similar lines would be 'can i view my own pages, and thus create more ad impressions'?

mav, sounds very interesting, yeah, but another $50 payout... pheww... I think i'll stick to the google search for now, since I just get about 110-165 visitors a day. So getting those 50bucks would take a year or so^^

    //edit: I received a grey one now... ^^

Hey HiJacker, yeah its cool, only glitch is to make habit of searching the things thru them rather than searching thru google toolbar.. thats the glitch... and $50 payout.. its alright man... if you look back for last few months, just think how many times you searched on google... do the same thing on this pay for search website... atleast I dont see any harm as long as money is being gathered for me from anywhere :p

Good that you are convinced by some small but regular paying ways from our daily activities. I know its nothing compared to Adsense, but still it has good potential to get you some extra bucks to throw off on your beer!! :D

Get paid for your google, yahoo, msn.. damn any search .. this is working atleast for me :D

Maverick, how many times are you going to repeat that aff link (and other aff links in other posts of yours in threads elsewhere)?

I've used my own AdSense search; just make sure you don't click the ads. Didn't get banned so guess it's fine.

Yeah T0PS, his advertising is indeed pretty... showy :D

But mav, if you are so fascinated about those pay-for-search thingies, why not try Pay-pup, too? It's exactly the same script/thing like Netbux :) Just till yesterday their servers were WAY faster than NetBux', although now the broad mass seems to have recognized Pay-pup, too and their servers are currently down ;).

Anyways, you can earn the same via Pay-pup, just with the advantage, that you can do 50searches a day with Pay-pup :)

I have never done google search. I simply ignore that adsense feature. Does it pay?

well, if someone does a search from your site and then clicks on an ad that comes up on the results page, then yeah you get paid for that. but you don't get paid per search.
