using the Alexa widget

will adding one of these widgets ( http://www.alexa.com/site/site_stats/signup?mode=graph&site_url=digitalpoint.com&range=6m ) to my site help my alexa ranking at all? Will it be able to start tracking users that don't have the alexa toolbar installed?

I don't think it will help your alexa rating. The stats come from users with the toolbar installed.

Alexas rank is from a 3 month average for a true test you would have to try it for 3 monthes, from what i understand is the widget was created to tabulate users without the toolbar installed.
