    Interactive ads improve conversions.

I am wondering if anyone is using video ads to improve conversions to affiliate / mercant offers. What merchant programs? what industries do you promote with video / audio ads.

Is this something you would consider promoting? placing on your website?

Personally I would not put audio ads at all on my site. Unless I had a media site that plays audio or video files then I would make that play at the beginning of every piece of media.

Video would have a better chance of seeing some time on my site over audio. But it would have to be VERY similar to what google is running with adsense. No autoplay.

I haven't noticed anything available through my accounts, but then again I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment getting to know each advertiser.

If I were to implement a/v I second the notion about being similar to adsense. I don't mind the ones that auto play but you have to click them for sound - but placement is a consideration.

A/V ads would definitely take more hands on management. The program would have to convert well and have decent payouts for me to take the extra time.

Well. If you have sound on your computer and you go to news sites such as CNN.com and look under "Latest News" some of the headlines have video camera next to them, if you click on such links there is no text -- just powerful TV like video with sound. Some ads between them as well. It seems that it can make a much more powerful call to action and lead more people to click on the ad and convert to a sale. So if you have topic-related ads on your site that are **very relevant ** to your visitors and play sound in the background -- they are much more likely to click/convert.

I saw ads like that and they left a very powerful impression on me in terms of effectiveness. Looks like the future of web advertisement. Google I know is testing video/audio ads as well. I don't think there are any affiliate programs that use them at this point but I know that large brand marketers do.
