Anyone familiar with the idea of using software to create links on download sites? Have you had success with this strategy? Any ideas and opinions welcome.
Ummm..If I am not wrong, the flow goes like this, you create a software, distribute it to the third party sites like download.com etc and then get the traffic from such sites onto your server. Yes it has worked and it works pretty much good even now. If you have something worth that people might be interested in, you can create certain reviews about it. Test it for bugs properly and check for malware etc. If all's well, submit it at Download.com, fileheap and similar sites. either provide a demo setup or give them a download link through your server only and you can actually pull up some traffic. and Yes links from those sites if without nofollow, counts.
