Using SMTP with phpBB

    My host won't let me send mass emails to more than 100 people. My forum has more than 100 users.

    I would really like to be able to use the mass email function.

    Is there a free service that would let me use SMTP to have my phpBB forum send emails to all the users?

    Does anyone here use SMTP with phpBB? If so, what SMTP service do you use?

    Any help is great appreciated.

    tryed gmail as your smtp server?

    What are gmail's restrictions for SMTP? Do you know how many people I can email at once, or how many emails can be sent in a day?
