Using shortened URLs as backlinks

    I am wondering...

    If you use a service like TinyURL to optimize your URL, and then use that URL in your backlinks instead of your full URL, do those links count as backlinks to your site, or do they count as backlinks to Tiny URL???

    If its not redirected thru seo friendly redirect. :)
