Using SEO and Google Trends got me over 12,000 visitors in 24 hours

I was hit with a flood of traffic to a brand new article I had just written on my blog.

This is what I did:

1. Visited Google Trends and found a hot topic of the day.

2. Did some research and wrote an article about the topic.

3. Posted the article on my blog.

4. Added a link to my article to a few social bookmarking sites.


The traffic started flooding in within minutes from the social bookmark sites. After about 30 minutes I was getting 90% of my traffic from Google searches.
When the visitors came to my site they would also browse the other articles aswell.

That was easy.

 

Sound interesting. It will work for bloggers likes you. What about niche site owners ?

Is there any other techniques for different niche sites ?

 

good idea, definitely worth giving it a try. For niche site owners, key would be finding a middle ground between what's in trend and what's relevant.

ya Good idea but one thing i will do b4 8 months back i saw google trends and push that News to my blog and do bookmarking ...........................................................Google Trends are waste i think google.co.in/trends and google.com/trends ........Any one can tell me any other tool like this in google most search keywords in Google Daily

I think you don't understand what is the meaning of niche right? It's mean "A position particularly well suited to the person who occupies it"

Google Trends can be difficult to take seriously at times. You'd think that the data between Google Trends and Google Keyword Tool would be exactly the same, but they're not. A lot of it has to be taken with a grain of salt.
