Would it be considered spamming if i use same keyword in both H1 and H2 tags?

    Example:

    <h1>Bird cages</h1>

    And on same page

    <h2>Bird cages</h2>

How is this for SEO? Good or bad?

I suggest please avoid, you can use h2 for sub headlines, example below:

    <h1>Bird cages</h1>

    And on same page

    <h2>Steel Bird cages</h2>

    <h2>Gold Plated Bird cages</h2>

    and so on ;)

I TOTALLY agree. <title> and <h1> are Okay to have the same values since both are suppose to summarize what your page is about. But <h2> is a sub-heading. It makes no sense semantically to have an <h1> and <h2> be identical.

Follow the above advise, do not spam the tags like that, you will get not only your page slapped, but your domain will lose trust right away..
