Using reseller hosting for Youtube-like site

So ive been looking endlessly for hosting for my video sharing community website. I want a VPS but I currently dont want to spend over 15/mo on hosting. Ive seen only a couple potentially good ones. Then I was thinking what if I bought a reseller plan and use that. I dont know much bout that stuff but i know shared hosts will ban me for too much resources used. But my single website wouldnt use more resources than multiple 'resold' accounts. Anyone wanna lend their expertise on if this will work?

It really depends on the traffic your getting. Resellers might be good to start but once you start to hog up server resources you will go slow and eventually your hosting will be terminated. Also if your using lots of resources its good to have control of this and with WHM you cant really have control.

I suggest you get a cheaper VPS with like 256-512MB RAM if your wanting to save your money. Hopefully you can find something that will suite your needs.

To sum this up, Cheap VPS beats Shared hosting any day.

I think you should go for vps account because it will give you more flexibility, resources and you will get full control of the server in fractional of cost.

I'd go for a VPS instead of using reseller hosting, though you can find good and cheap reseller hosts

    IMO
the host will still ban your hosting because their TOS is not allow up to certain amount for 10% of CPU usage
