Using Red5 for video streaming - Anyone put this in a server?

Im in need of real streaming video, and if all goes well, I will provide hosting with this feature.

The thing is: The full Adobe Media Interactive Server is expensive (4,500 U$S is way too much!), and I dont have any experience with Red5: Anyone know if its good? Use less or more cpu than the Adobe one? have more or less features?

My project is to broadcast a "live" channel, 24 hs a day. Really, the videos will be pre-uploaded in the server, not a really live channel, but I want to broadcast 24 files of 1 hour, from 00:00 to 23:59. The idea is to give the impression that you are seeing a real channel =)

Thank you very much, and Im seeking for all your experiences, I will really appreciate some help in this!
