Using quotations from celebrities

    What's the legal issue of using quotes from celebrities and market leaders as long as the quote is clearly attributed to them ??

    Would I be breaking any copyright laws for example by writing about Microsoft and then adding a quotation from Bill Gates (in quotation marks) and making it very clear that the comments are Bill's ??

    What if I wanted to quote someone like Matt Cutts in an article ?

    I see many newspapers, magazines and books quote from celebrities and market leaders, do they really have to get permission to use these quotes ?
