Hello everyone, I've decided to join up in light of the fact I'm being slowly pulled into the world of marketing, web design, SEO etc.. There's quite a lot to learn, and as a naturally untechnical person I find it all to be quite challenging. With a website/experiment under development I'm looking into setting up ad campaigns through the likes of Facebook, MySpace, and obviously Adwords. It looks like I've come to the right place and I look forward to slowly digesting what is already a huge resource. Anyway.. There seem to be a lot of promotional vouchers, or codes, flying about the internet. Firstly, am I to assume Facebook and Google offer these on an introductory basis in the hope that when you've used up your $25 (or however much) free advertising, you'll forget to stop or pause the campaign and will be charged directly from your bank account? It's just that when I've started the sign up process, they always want my bank account details up front. I don't mind providing such details for Adsense - afterall it's a method for receiving payment - but for Adwords, I'm not so sure. What is the best way to use these free vouchers. It's a loophole which can be exploited, I'm sure, so how do you do it? Apologies if this question has already been answered! Thanks, Darren
The free vouchers is not a loophole... It is just one way to attract new advertisers... Ideally if you are a serious advertisers, the free voucher will act as a booster to get you started. But most of the guys open a account with a free voucher & use it till the voucher amount is expired. Then they put a requuest for account deletion. This may work for sometime, but eventually Google will figure it out if you use the same card for different accounts. If you are starting out, you may want to use a voucher to sign up. You do need to provide credit card details when signing so if you exceed the amount on the voucher the balance is paid from your card... The only way to avoid providing card details is to use a virtual credit card during sign up...
What if you were to just edit your card details after you signed up and changed them to some nonsense?
